Arrived safely [Nov. 25th, 2004|10:28 am]
Callicrates
...only a small matter of 14 hours late.

We did indeed get transferred onto Continental. The planes were crowded, cramped, and the service somewhat suboptimal. Delta put us up in the Holiday Inn at Boston airport overnight. We got to the hotel a couple minutes before midnight. This morning, willowisp's uncle came down to pick us up. We were relatively lucky in that we wound up at an airport only 90 minutes' drive from where we were going. The guy behind us in line at the hotel was supposed to be in Cincinnatti, where our original plane was supposed to stop en route to Providence.

We've got today and tomorrow to relax, then Saturday morning we fly home. We hope. Wish us luck. lowapproach, would you please fiddle with the little slips of paper and clear a path for us?

PS. Gaming crowd: lunch on Sunday as usual?

PPS. Broken Lands folk: A very large chunk of the long-term plot fell into place about halfway through the in-flight movie last night. You will not lack for things to do.

Had we been on our original flight, we would have been on the ground in Cincinnatti for an hour. Since we were sitting in row 45 on a 757, I doubt we would even have gotten off the plane before it was time to board again.

It'll work out one of these years. Honest.

The forecast for Saturday in Providence is cloudy, but the lows are well above freezing and no precipitation is expected until the next day. The same is true for Albuquerque.

Assuming Yahoo!'s best guess holds true, your only annoyances in the sky will concern weather routings that will slip your arrival time by a few minutes or lost luggage. Hope you and Cat are having a good time.
