House update: browncoat done, paint started [Apr. 2nd, 2004|07:44 pm]
We went to visit the house this afternoon. Noone was there at the time. The browncoat has been applied to the rest of the house. Once it's dry, the next layer is either a primer or the final batch of light-colored stucco, I'm not sure which.

Inside, they've put the first coat of paint on the walls. It looks really nice. We get plenty of light in the nook and upstairs in the living room. Also, all of our interior doors are standing in the garage being painted, which looks a bit odd. Last and not least, there's a layer of clearcoat on the exposed woodwork inside. I don't know if they'll put another one on or not.

Next week they should finish painting, lay at least some of the tile, and get started on the cabinets. I'm looking forward to seeing it. From here on out I get the impression that things are going to move pretty quickly.

There are a couple other pictures in this gallery folder for those interested.

The photo of the doors makes me think of the conveyor belt room in Monsters Inc. Maybe we should run a LARP based on that in our garage tomorrow instead of the regular game.
