It looks like we got comparatively lucky. It's been gray and icky all weekend. It rained some yesterday. It started raining today, then got colder, and the rain froze... we probably have a layer of ice on the streets right now. Unlike December, this time it kept getting colder, so the freezing rain turned to snow. Snow is fine. Snow, unlike ice, can be shoveled and isn't as quick to drop major transmission lines. Perhaps we'll even escape without losing power this time.
