We arrived today in England to visit our friend Kirsti. It was a very long trip, and a very long following day, but otherwise uneventful. Two items of note:|
- Using frequent flyer miles to upgrade a trans-Atlantic flight to first class is well worth it. I was rather amused to find that the seats had more controls (for moving around, reclining, etc.) than most TVs.
- Some minor saint provisioned the USAir envoy-class arrival lounges in Gatwick with showers. Hot water does wonders for feeling human after an abbreviated night.
Oh, and in other news, my SIGGRAPH paper got accepted! Further details (and the short version of the saga) to follow after I've had a good night's sleep.
